Some feel that one can be content working a dead end job, so long as they can attain the things that they need. They feel that it is not important to like the job, so long as it will help one provide. This is not true, however, because when one works the same dead-end job day in and day out, they get fed up. This is the reason why career advancements are necessary.

When an individual remains stagnant for many years, he feels like he has no purpose. He feels like he means nothing, and that is a very terrible way to feel.

Career advancements provide more opportunities. When an individual moves up the ladder, he will be able to have opportunities available to him that were not available before. Individuals will be able to learn new things. They will be able to enjoy higher status, and they will be able to advance further in the future. Dead-end jobs certainly do not provide opportunities, hence the reason they are not good for people to stay with.
A Better Life
Career advancements offer a better life. With career advancements comes greater pay. And with greater pay comes a better lifestyle. One will not have to live in worry, wondering where money will come from to pay the bills and survive.
As we can now see, just working the same dead-end job for years and years on end does not bring forth contentment. We also see that it is important to seek out careers that will provide advancements. We must never settle for less; rather, we need to get up and make things happen. Then, advancements will come our way.
