It used to be that starting your own business was a gamble few could afford to make. It simply did not provide the security of a big corporate job, and looking for ways to buy individual health care can be a daunting and expensive task. With the uncertainty of jobs in virtually all sectors of the economy, the time has perhaps never been better for moms to strike out on there own and take a shot at having a successful business!
Business Ideas
1.) Are you crafty or great at cooking? Few women who are crafty or great at making baked good realize they may have a profitable business on their hands. If your talent is real, think about how you could turn your talent into dollars.
2.) Don’t mind cleaning or pet sitting? Love of animals and a love, or at least ambivalence, toward cleaning could each translate into a home business opportunity. Many people charge to pet sit in people’s homes while they are out of town and cleaning services are always valued by those who are unwilling or unable to do the work themselves.
3.) Telecommute- there are many telecommuting opportunities available in either full or part time capacity. Unfortunately, landing a full time work at home job with health insurance is rather tough. What you can do however is string together a few smaller jobs and concentrate on an area of speacialty that you might want to make into a career. Telecommuting offers the opportunity to try on a few different hats to see what works best for you from a home office.
These are just a few opportunities available that are geared primarily towards women. Other opportunities, like selling items on ebay, could also be combined with other business to combine for an income comparable to what you might make full time in an office.
