Business And Profit

Each time you open the newspaper or switch on the television you are likely to come across stories of corruption, nepotism and instances where people have been cheated and deprived of their legitimate earnings by some fraudulent companies. This is a disturbing trend and there could be no other reason, but too much of greed which could be the only reason for such incidents.

There is no doubt that all businesses are run with the sole purpose of making some good profit and there is nothing wrong in having such thoughts. If profits are made the right and ethical way it should be welcomes and should be encouraged. Healthy profits helps the business to grow and flourish and offers more and better employment opportunities to many people apart from creating wealth which could be used for the betterment of society and nation. However, what it happening these days is the fact that ethics is being pushed to the background and it is all about making profits at any cost. This is a dangerous trend and it should be tackled and met head on. It would be also naïve on the part of any business entrepreneur to think that ethics and profits do not g together.

If you unethical in your business dealings, you may flourish for a particular period of time, but once your real self is shown to the society, then all your hard work in building the business will come crashing down and you would be back to square one. Hence, it is always advisable to bring your business slowly and steadily and brick by brick. There is no substitute to hard work and fair play. At times, it may seem that ethics is taking a back seat but such a situation will only be temporary. Good strategy, good products, and quality customer service are the most important requisites for a business.
